As usual I never update this website because I rarely follow through with anything... but recently I have.  I started a juice fast about 9 days ago to try and get rid of my psoriasis again.  Things seem to be going pretty well.  I would definitely say I have about a 20% improvement and maybe a 30% improvement on my arms.  Whats more important is that all my arthritis went away within the first 2 days and I am no longer itching myself.

To some of you it may look like it got worse but that is how psoriasis heals.  It flattens out and gets bigger but is less irritated and inflamed and eventually just disappears.  I'm going to do the juice fast as long as I can.  Im hoping to reach the 60 day mark.  Wish me Luck!

Day One

Today is day one of my second new lifestyle/diet change. Before I get into anything I want to give some details about me and my lifestyle that led to psoriasis. So many times in my journey to heal myself would I find people that claimed they have cleared their P,  but never showed progress or pictures or never gave specifics about what they were eating. It can be really frustrating because some people need very specific steps to follow in order to be successful.  I can totally understand how overwhelming all these changes can be to an person and sometimes you just need someone to explain what was done in detail.

I would like myself to be sort of a test subject so I will make sure to give as much detail about myself/lifestyle/diet.  That way you can see how similar or different we are.

I'm back...

So I don't know why I haven't been posting on this blog. I finally have come back to it after months of not looking at it.

There have been many people commenting and asking questions, that I now feel I must keep this up to date and prove how diet and a healthy lifestyle can rid you of psoriasis. I got rid of it once and I'm going to do it again.

This time around though I will be focusing on a long term solution, not a temporary one.

For those of you that are new to the site I will give you a brief history of who I am and what this site is about.

Around 2 years ago I had a very severe case of psoriasis covering over 50% of my body. My wife an I were able to completely clear it by me quiting smoking, exercising and eating a mainly raw vegan organic diet.

Since that time though I have fallen back into my old habits and psoriasis has come back. Not as bad as It used to be, but bad enough. You can read through the old posts to see what we did in the past and here is a link to the pictures so you can see how things were before:

I never actually took pictures of me completely cleared but I was 100% clear at one time.

Since its cone back I'm starting a new diet and lifestyle again. I will keep this update as much as I can. For now just know that I'm quitting smoking, exercising and eating a healthy organic mostly raw diet.

I hope this will prove that a healthy lifestyle will and can clear psoriasis. Once again though this is focusing on a long term effect so my results might not be as fast as I hope.

So everyone knows where I'm starting from here is what my psoriasis looks today:

Wow I can't belive I haven't been posting.

Hey everyone. I wonder if anyone even comes here anymore. Oh well I had to make a post because I think I actual figured out what causes my psoriasis.

Before I get to that I will mention that from the last time I posted my psoriasis has come back. I one point I was completeley cleared and literally had no signs of psoriasis. I quit smoking, was juicing 2-3 times a day, exercising, and just trying to live a normal healthy life. within 2-3 month my psoriasis had completely vanished. I had never been happier in my life. Since then I have started smoking again, I don't exercise at all, and I eat some pretty unhealthy stuff and guess what my psoriasis has now come back. Definately not as bad as before but more than I would like.

So now I want to get rid of it again and I'm pretty sure I know what it is. INFECTION. That's right, and specifically for me tooth infection. I know this because my psoriasis has been getting really bad. One day I had the most painful toothache and had to get an emergency root canal. The tooth was highly infected and needed treatment. About a week after the procedure I noticed my psoriasis fading away like it did the first time. I started putting 2 and 2 together and it all makes sense now.

The first time I got rid of psoriasis I first went to the dentist and I had a tooth extracted because it was highly infected and I didn't know it because I had in previous years had a root canal done on it so there was no pain even if there was an infection. At the same time I became a vegan, started exercising and juicing, and stopped smoking. So at that point when things started clearing up I attributed it to the healthy lifestyle changes. I now know that the cause of my psoriasis is from underlying infections and that becoming vegan, quiting smoking, and juicing sped the process up greatly.

I still think living a healthy lifestyle is key because as my finacee once told me, "there is no way psoriasis can live on a healthy body". Makes sense right.

So my reccomndations if you have psoriasis and are like me and refuse to use drugs that are terrible for your body, are:

Get a serious and thourough exam from a holistic dentist. Tell them your concerned that there might be infections in your teeth, gums, jaw etc that could be causing your psoriasis. They usuauly have a test that can examine each tooth and tell you how it is affected your overall health.

Second start living healthier. Just do it. Its a pain to start but once your entire body is healthy a rid of psoriasis you will never regret it.
